NSW: Millennium workers to campaign for better redundancy rights

SYDNEY, Feb 21 AAP - About 200 hotel workers who will lose their jobs when Sydney'sMillennium Hotel shuts down next month have enlisted the help of the NSW union movementto fight for decent redundancy packages.

"So far the Millennium management has refused to sit down and negotiate a better redundancypackage for the workers," said Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers' Union (LHMU)state assistant secretary Mark Boyd.

"At least 200 of their loyal staff will be made redundant."
