He entertains our affluent clients whilehaving scraggly growth on his face, shoulder-length hair, Swisscheese T-shirts and low-riding flowered sweat pants. Our clientslove his work, but our boss wants us all to wear uniforms.

Dear Noncon: It doesn't sound as if the clients are making anynoise about what this guy looks like, since you say they love hiswork. So the turmoil is from within.
You might talk to your boss about setting up a companywide dresscode. Get input from co-workers about what they think isappropriate for your business and clients, then come up with someguidelines that everyone can live with.
This should appease your boss. Remind your colleague that he'llstill have the weekends to revert back to his natural state.
